The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, along with the U.S. Marshall's Service arrested escaped inmates Charles Walker and Joseph Jenkins, both 34, at Coconut Grove Motor Inn at 9725 Front Beach Road, Panama City around 6:40 p.m. on October 19, 2013 without incident. Both escaped from Franklin Correctional Institution -- one in September, and one in October  [...] About 20 members of the law enforcement task force assigned to capture the prisoners surrounded the Coconut Grove Motor Inn motel room, instructing Jenkins and Walker via loud speaker to come out. About a minute later, both men exited the room with their hands in the air  [...] Within days of walking out of Franklin Correctional Institution with bogus paperwork, Walker and Jenkins — each serving a life term for murder — traveled about 300 miles to a jail in Orlando, Florida and registered as felons.
