Staff resignations, subscription cancelations at Washington Post and LA Times

Washington Post editor-at-large Robert Kagan and opinion columnist Michele Norris resigned in response to the non-endorsement. A wave of Washington Post subscription cancellations followed. At the LA Times, multiple personnel resigned. When readers announced they would cancel their subscriptions, the union that represents many LA Times employees issued a statement urging them not to cancel. The Washington Post and L.A. John Ashton, the reserved, straight man as Beverly Hills Police Department Detective John Taggart, paired with Detroit's Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) in Beverly Hills Cop has died of cancer at age 76.
