Fran Itkoff took over her husband's position and volunteered for the nonprofit organization for the next couple of decades until a representative reached out to her recently.  Her husband suffered from MS. Itkoff’s family has won several awards for her work with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and Fran Itkoff earned the Volunteer Lifetime Achievement award in 2008.
