Deep, wet snow forecast for Northeast

A major weather system is bringing the risk of heavy snow in the Northeast and severe weather in the southeast. The Winter Storm Warning for New York City is the first Winter Storm Warning in two years.

Disruptive winter weather is forecast to affect New England; Providence, Rhode Island; Boston; New York City and Interstate 95.

Tornadoes and flash flooding are possible in the Southeast.
