Solar Eclipse: Residents in nine states can see 'ring of fire' annular solar eclipse, the rest in U.S. can see 'bite' out of sun

Residents in Oregon, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico and Texas and parts of  California, Idaho, Colorado and Arizona can see annular solar eclipse occurring of North America on Saturday October 14, 2023. The annular solar eclipse is a 'ring of fire' sun.

Areas east and west of these states will not see a 'ring of fire' but will see a bit out of the solar disc. The further away from these annular solar eclipse states, the smaller the bite.

Chicago residents will see about a 45% bite out of the sun -- weather permitting; it's cloudy.

New York residents will only see about a 25% bite out of the sun.

REMEMBER DON'T LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN.
