United Auto Workers (UAW) set to strike Friday if negotiations fail
UAW President Shawn Fain on Wednesday evening, September 13, 2023, announced plans for those targeted strikes at any auto manufacturer that fails to reach a labor deal with the union before contracts expire at 11:59 pm Thursday. All 145,000 United Auto Workers at the companies are not expected to strike on Friday.
