Justice Department spokesperson Xochitl Hinojosa said in a statement Monday, January 29, 2024 that Attorney General Merrick Garland is scheduled to have a “minimally invasive back procedure” Saturday to treat spinal stenosis, which is a condition that involves the narrowing of openings in vertebrae. The procedure involves general anesthesia and lasts about 90 minutes.
